Port-Salut cheese is a soft and flowery cheese with a flowery crust, originally from the Mayenne region in France. The Port-Salut has a soft and slightly fruity taste, with a slight touch of hazelnut. The Port-Salut goes well with a range of red and white wines, as well as with blond or brown beers. It can be tasted alone or used in many recipes, such as gratins, pies or fondues.
