The cocktail sausage is a small dry or fresh sausage which is generally served as a snack or as a combination during receptions or picnics. There are many varieties of cocktail sausage, which can be made from different meats, such as pork, beef, veal or chicken, and seasoned with various spices and herbs. Some of the most common varieties include Frankfurt cocktail sausages, black sausage cocktail sausages and chorizo cocktail sausages.
