Boil milk with a vanilla pod cut in half lengthwise. Let the vanilla pod steep for 10 minutes, then remove it from the milk.
In a bowl, mix the sugar and egg yolks until the mixture whitens.
Pour the boiling milk over the egg-sugar mixture, stirring constantly to prevent the eggs from cooking.
Let the mixture cool before whipping the very cold cream into whipped cream and incorporating it into the preparation.
