Preheat the oven to 210°C
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Peel the onion and garlic cloves, then add them to the butter along with the thyme and parsley.
Stir with a spatula then add the flour, continuing to mix.
Pour in the milk and stir again. Season with salt and pepper.
Peel and slice each banana into strips.
Place the plantain banana slices in layers in a buttered baking dish.
Pour in the béchamel sauce and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake for about 45 minutes.
Serve.
