Wash the parsley and chop it then set aside.
Cut the butter into strips, peel the shallot and garlic clove, chop them and put them in a saucepan.
Add a knob of butter to the pan and heat gently.
Add the parsley and a quarter of the butter and mix while heating.
Season with salt and pepper, then add the remaining butter and mix with a spatula.
Serve.
