Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.
In a gratin dish, place the potato slices, pour the cream over the top, add salt, pepper and sprinkle with nutmeg, then bake for 30 minutes.
After this time, lower the oven temperature to 150°C for another hour.
Once the potatoes are tender, your gratin is ready. Remove it from the oven, let it cool slightly, then serve.
