Boil the jacket potatoes until a knife can easily be inserted. Then, cut them in half and scoop out the insides slightly.
Preheat the oven to 240°C and fry the onions in a pan with the sausage cut into small cubes.
Add the potato flesh and the cream, then simmer until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Fill the potato shells with the mixture and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes until the top begins to brown.
Serve warm with a garlic salad.
