Start by preheating the oven to 100°C.
Boil the asparagus in water for 20 minutes. Set aside.
Cook the béchamel sauce by heating the butter, then add the flour and stir.
Pour in the milk and simmer for 8 minutes. Season the sauce with pepper, salt, and nutmeg.
Spread the sauce over the asparagus and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes.
