Prepare the apples by peeling them and cutting them into small pieces.
Make a compote. Put three apples in a saucepan and add one to two glasses of water. Stir and add vanilla sugar.
When the compote is ready, peel the last apple and cut it in four. Subsequently, make thin strips with the districts.
Before baking your pie, preheat the oven to 210°C.
After cooling the compote, spread 2/3 of the shortcrust pastry in a mold.
Prick the dough with a fork.
Pour the compote into the mold and put the apple strips in place by making a spiral.
Place butter strips.
To create a caramelized appearance, add a little sugar on the pie during cooking.
