Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Cut the fennel in half in the height and cook it in boiling salted water for 20 minutes.
Beat the egg, cream, milk. Salt, pepper then add the thyme.
Drain the fennel.
In two dishes going in the oven, arrange the halves of rcoted fennel.
Pour the cream over the fennels, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake for 15 minutes.
Serve.
