In a bowl, pour the sifted flour, salt and diced softened butter. Mix until a sandy dough is obtained.
Add the milk, the egg yolk. Sugar, vanilla extract and the grains of a vanilla pod. Mix by hand or in the robot until you get a homogeneous paste. Form a ball and wrap it in cling film and place the 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Lower the dough to the roller on a floured work surface 1 cm thick. Cut cookies using parts.
Place the shortbread on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake for 10 minutes.
At the exit of the oven, let the cookies cool on a rack. Keep the cookies in an airtight box at the shelter of light and heat.
