Clean the fennels by removing the hardest sheets. Wash them and cut them.
In a pan, heat olive oil. Then brown your fennel over fairly high heat.
Add about 10 centilitres of water, reduce the heat and cook for 30 minutes.
Add water during cooking if necessary. Before serving, deglaze with a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar.
Season and serve hot.
