Start by preheating the oven to 160°C.
Mix the zest with the brown sugar and let stand for 30 minutes.
In a bowl, beat the sugar and eggs.
Stir in the marmalade, cream and Limoncello, and whisk.
Add the flour, baking powder, and melted butter. Mix well.
Pour the mixture into a buttered mold. Bake for 40 minutes.
Heat the water, lemon juice, Limoncello and sugar.
Let the cake cool and pour a little lemon syrup over it, then pour on the rest of the syrup.
