To prepare this delicious cake, start by preheating your oven to 180°C and place the rack in the center.
Butter a 23 x 13 cm loaf pan and mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk together the butter, sugar, and eggs until pale. Then, add the vanilla and half of the lavender, then fold in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk using a spatula.
Spread the dough in the pan and bake for about 45 minutes. Once baked, let it cool.
To prepare the icing, mix the icing sugar with water.
Pour the frosting over the cake, letting it drip down the sides, then sprinkle with the remaining lavender for a fragrant finishing touch.
