In a bowl, mix the sugar, whole eggs, vanilla extract and lemon zest, using a whisk. Continue the operation until the mixture has a frothy texture.
Gradually add the oil and milk while continuing to mix to have a homogeneous preparation.
Pour the flour, the yeast bag and possibly cinnamon and beat until you get a smooth dough without lumps.
In a previously buttered mold or covered with parchment paper, place a row of apples cut into rings. Pour half the dough.
Place a second layer of apples and fill the mold with the rest of the dough.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the cake for 40 minutes by checking the cooking using a knife.
Let the cake cool and taste it with custard, caramel sauce or ice.
