After having the rhubarb thaw in the microwave, cut the sections into small dice
Mix the brown sugar, orange juice and cinnamon. Cut the apples into strips and melt them in this mixture. Wait until they are very tender then remove them from the fire
In the same pan, cook the rhubarb sprinkled with brown sugar. Then add the apples to the pan.
Mix the flour, sugar and salt with the cold butter to make the crumble crumbs. Work the dough with your fingertips until you get a very sandy paste
Pour the apple-rhubarb mixture into a gratin dish, making sure to distribute it all over the surface
Once the fruits are covered with sandy dough, bake at 200°C for about thirty minutes.
This dessert is to be used lukewarm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard.
